Jackie Seanpaul  Belize American owner and operator of Belize Nature Getaway

Jacqueline Seanpaul, a Belizean-American, has a background encompassing ancestral female shamans, Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurship. She is the owner and operator of Belize Nature Getaway, a company dedicated to creating women-only retreats and tours for all people to her home country of Belize. Ms. Seanpaul has had the opportunity to work with very successful businesses, such as AAA, as well as many other corporate entities, educational centers, and private groups in leading tours to Belize. She is currently focusing on creating women-led retreats. Her mission with Belize Nature Getaway is to facilitate enlightened and energized feelings of health and happiness, through showing retreat participants the deep, natural and spiritual beauty of Belize. Ms. Seanpaul feels the bounty of nature and basic values that embody Belizean culture are priceless treasures to experience.

Even as a teen, Ms. Seanpaul was involved in creating change, organizing and leading groups as an intern for governmental social services and urban development, at the age of 14. In addition to leading meetings focused on educating communities about crime reduction, she worked in the field with anthropologists, gathering artifacts, and also helped to compile information for Belizean history. Jacqueline’s grandmother, Barbara Fernandez, was a well-known shaman and spiritual/medicinal healer in Belize, creating so many miraculous healings that she became famous and sought after. Jacqueline inherited her grandmother’s love of nature, and fascination with the use of native plants to heal and provide balance. As the owner of 40 acres of river-front, rain forest property in Belize, Jacqueline plans to eventually build her own women’s retreat property. This will serve primarily as a healing center, and enable Ms. Seanpaul to utilize native plants from the rain forest. Ms. Seanpaul is committed to sharing the beauty and wonder of her native culture. One of her philanthropic endeavors involves raising money for the education of women and children living in poverty in Belize, as well as employing Belizeans as a way of ‘paying it forward’ to the country she loves.

Maria Garcia is an experienced Belizean Mayan Shaman.

Maria’s work has been featured at the Smithsonian Institute. She performs a sacred Mayan Ceremony for the equinox welcoming this new beginning. The Mayan practice is to receive, cleanse, heal, and begin our spiritual connection, while grounding our foundation to the earth spirit within ourselves. The sacred Fire Ceremony has been practiced by our great ancestors for thousands of years. Ms.Garcia keeps them alive today.

Annette Fletcher, Yoga and Meditation

Annette’s passions include meditation, yoga and creating delicious juices and smoothies! Her meditation and yoga practice began as a result of acknowledging her own addictive behaviors and racing thought patterns.  Her guided yoga and meditations in Mexico focus on helping people connect with their own higher self, that silent witness inside us that is pure love in a shared energetic practice that connects our spiritual and physical selves.

In our group meditations we will explore mindful breathing, visualization practice and chakra balancing. Yoga classes will be a combination of hatha flow, restorative and “vin\yin” practice. We’ll refresh each practice with a natural juice or smoothie to celebrate each chakra!

Life is nothing but an exchange of energy.  Group meditations and yoga practice allow us to connect our individual energies to create one harmonious vibration! How beautiful is that?
