Belize Women’s Adventure August 9th thru 16th, 2023
Itinerary
Day 1
We will be met at the Belize International Airport in an air-conditioned van where your driver will take you to the Black Orchid Resort, located on the Belize River located in the village of Burrell Boom. Exotic tropical rainforest setting.
Day 2
Wake up to the beautiful exotic sounds of the Rainforest as you wait for your local, freshly made breakfast before we start the day off. We drive to the home of a local wood carver who does his magic with a machete to make beautiful art with different local woods from the forest such as mahogany, ziricote, and many other varieties.
After that enchanting experience, we will visit the home of a local family where you can participate or just enjoy a traditional Belizean meal for lunch.
Tonight, will be a mixer at the Iguana Stop (drinks and dinner) which is located on the Belize River. {B,L}
Day 3
After breakfast we will head towards the rustic little town of San Ignacio, known for adventurous experiences of its Mayan ruins and caves. On this 1.5 hour drive, we will pass through many little villages while we stop in the nation capital, Belmopan, to have lunch.
Our final stop will be San Ignacio Resort, where we will have time to settle in before dinner and a performance of Garifuna Drummers or local entertainment, as a welcome to Belize. {B,L,D}
Day 4
After breakfast we leave for Barton Creek as we canoe through the caves in time to experience the ancient Mayan civilization and different rock formations which makes for a fascinating underground attraction.
On the way back to town, we will stop for lunch in the town of San Ignacio/Santa Elena.

Day 5
After breakfast, we will take a leisurely horseback ride (or be driven) to the tallest Mayan ruin in Belize – Xunantunich, Maiden of the Rock/Stone Woman. Lunch in the town of Benque.
Dinner at the Guava Limb restaurant, which provides patrons with finely crafted cuisines using farm to table ingredients. {B,L,D}
Day 6
Today we pack up our belonging as we drive to Belize City (formerly British Honduras) for a short city tour before we board a water taxi for Caye Caulker.
We will check in to the Barefoot Caye Caulker Hotel for a peaceful, luxurious, memorable experience on this beautiful island where you get to mingle with the locals or just take in the sea breeze. {B}
Day 7
Today we board a private boat as we head to Hol Chan Marine Reserve (Mayan for Little Channel) and Shark Ray Alley for snorkeling as you get to see the beautiful corral reef or swim with the sharks.
Day 8
Today we ferry back to Belize City where we will board a shuttle to Belize International Airport so you can return home.
